One of the joys of working and living in the city is being a part of all the diversity and enjoying all of the cultural opportunities Washington offers. It was with this in mind that I created “I heart city living” on Facebook a year ago. The intention and vision was to organize several outings each year of like-minded urban dwellers to explore a different side of the city than we might be accustomed to. Everything from museum exhibits, neighborhood tours and even women’s roller derby—the kind of stuff you do when relatives visit and some of the stuff you never do or even knew existed in the city.
It’s time to shake it up, and one of my new year’s resolutions was to activate this group and organize the first outing. And the winner is….The H Street Country Club in the city’s Atlas District.
H Street Country Club has something for everyone: food, drinks, miniature golf, & skeeball.
It’s located in the H St NE neighborhood, which is undergoing a transformation as it anticipates the arrival of DC’s first trolley line. As with many revitalizations, this one has started with restaurants and nightlife. So, join us to check it out.
We’ll start it off at 8:30 p.m. so mark your calendars, bring your friends and come meet some new ones as we explore DC’s newest and hottest nightlife before the trolley car makes it sooo passe.
