NYT: Walkability Improves Values

It may not surprise those living in the city, but a study cited by the New York Times provides evidence that supports the notion that walkable neighborhoods retain value better than sprawling suburbs and exurbs.

The study utilized the Walk Score featured throughout our site and compared sale prices of homes with high vs low Walk Scores in a number of cities.  The result: buyers will pay a premium to live in a walkable neighborhood.
