The Dupont Circle neighborhood remained relatively stable from 2008 to 2009. There were 283 sales in the neighborhood last year, a 21% increase from 2008, with most of the increase coming from two + bedroom condominiums.
- Studio and one bedroom condos/coops saw slight price declines on average, while the
- two bedroom condo/coop market gained 3% in value and doubled the volume of 2008 for a total of 91 sales.
- Twenty-eight houses sold in Dupont last year, up slightly from the 23 in 2008. However, the average sales price of these homes was up 29%—from $1.26M in 2008 to $1.63 in 2009. The increase was largely due to the sale of a $12M Embassy-sized home.
