David Shotwell, Realtor®, GRI
Immerse yourself in DC City living, and you have to dive into real estate. David has spent over 14 years loving DC for its livable communities (he’s lived in many of them), community organizations (he supports and participates a lot of them) and ultimately the real estate.
David became a Realtor® by being a client first. He bought and sold and bought and sold again. He enjoyed finding the perfect house and then selling it for the perfect price so much, and was so good at it he just had to do the same for clients. He is a natural networker and master of social media who has his finger on the pulse of the latest trends.
Before turning to real estate full time, David worked for 13 years at AARP in Penn Quarter. At AARP David led the association’s national efforts to promote livable communities including: Smart Growth, mixed-use development, walkable neighborhoods, accessible housing and access to transportation choices. In addition, David has a bachelor’s degree in business and is a Certified Aging-In-Place Specialist. He is also an Accredited New Urbanist from the School of Architecture at the University of Miami and a member of The Congress for New Urbanism (CNU).
