FAQs

  • Just contact me and we’ll schedule a time to meet in-person, by zoom or phone. We’ll talk about your goals and timeline. I’ll ask some questions and then I do the legwork and research, reach out to my colleagues and network to find a good fit with an agent who is ready for you. I’ll make the introductions and you take it from there. Of course, I’m always available for a second opinion or to answer questions throughout the process.

  • If you’re a friend or past client, there is absolutely no charge. This is my way of continuing to help those who’ve placed their trust in me over the years and ensure that you’re in good hands. If we don’t have a pre-existing relationship, I’m happy to help and charge $295 for the matchmaking service—-donated to a charity of your choice.

In most cases, I receive some referral compensation from the agent—a portion of which I donate to charity.

  • I donate $500 for each closed transaction to one of three charities. If you have a preference for which one your sale benefits, just let me know.

    1. SMYAL: Provides support and services to LGBTQIA+ youth in D.C., including housing for homeless youth who have been rejected by family.

    2. Mary’s Center: Provides integrated model of healthcare, education and social services to nearly 60,000 metro area people of all ages, incomes and backgrounds.

    3. Capital Area Food Bank: Provides access to food to our neighbors struggling with hunger. One in three DMV residents experienced food insecurity in 2021.

  • The biggest difference is that I’ve worked as an agent and have relationships with the people involved. I personally research and reach out to my network to find an agent that is best suited to your needs. These are my colleagues, many of whom I’ve known for years and done deals with.

The corporate matching services tend to rely on an algorithm of agents who have agreed to a fee to take their referrals, or pay them a marketing fee to be included. As an agent, I often received their solicitations—-there are some good agents in the pool. And many are newer agents looking to build their business. That could be a good fit. But ultimately, they’re simply matching you with someone in their database by zip code—there’s very little “matchmaking” occurring with personalities or agent style. Sometimes a top producer is the best fit—other times it’s not. You deserve a more customized approach to finding an agent because there are as many different types of agents as there are people.

  • You could. There are thousands of agents in the DC region who would welcome your business. However, most people only buy or sell a home every 7-10 years. Markets fluctuate, real estate law changes, technology evolves and agents come and go. Do you know what to ask or how to evaluate an agent beyond their sales presentation? Why not use the insight of an industry insider who has handled hundreds of transactions and knows the personalities, as well as an agents reputation among their peers? It may seem that all agents do the same thing, but there is a vast difference in the experience consumers have—your circumstances and needs are unique to you, and as an independent broker, I can provide you with candid guidance.

  • Yes. I have matched people with agents in a number of cities and have contacts and a network throughout the country. With a few calls to my network, I can identify potential agents and interview them to be sure you’re in good hands and have someone who fits your personality and needs.
